Vines:

  • Covers about 33 % of the vineyards in Cyprus
  • Very vigorous and productive
  • Low requirement in water
  • Mid-late ripening avoiding to mature during the
  • hot summer months. Harvest from mi-September to mi-November(depending on the altitude)
  • The only white variety allowed to be a PDO wine (>85%)
  • One of the two varieties allowed in Commandaria
